🕊 Jett’s Final Journey: One Last Summer of Light
There are stories that break your heart. And then there are stories that make it beat harder—because they show you what love really looks like.
Jett’s story is one of those.
At the age of 4, Jett was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that attacks the nervous system. It’s rare. It’s ruthless. And it doesn't care how big your dreams are—or how small your body is.
Jett went to war.
He endured nine rounds of chemotherapy, twelve rounds of radiation, two bone marrow transplants, major surgery, and six cycles of immunotherapy. And after two grueling years of treatment, Jett did the impossible: he beat it.
But like so many families touched by this disease know too well… the nightmare wasn’t over.
The cancer returned. More aggressive. More unforgiving.
And for nearly two more years, Jett fought back again. With courage, laughter, Legos, and strength most grown men will never know. But no matter how brave he was, the treatments began to steal more than they gave.
And now, at just 10 years old, Jett has made the bravest choice of all:
He’s stopping treatment.
No more needles. No more hospitals. No more chemical warfare on a body that simply wants peace.
Instead, Jett and his family have decided to live what time remains with purpose, joy, and love. He’s home. He’s surrounded by his siblings, his mom and dad, his bonus family, and the hospice nurses helping manage his pain.
Jett even has a button now—his own pain pump—because even superheroes get tired.
His amazing father, Micah, has taken unpaid leave from work to be by his only son’s side. His mother, Rachele, hasn’t been able to work in months—her time belongs to Jett, every moment of it. Bills haven’t stopped. The needs haven’t stopped. But Jett’s time is.
The family is now focused on one thing:
Giving Jett the best summer of his life before it’s too late.
🎂 The Birthday Heard Around the World
On May 4th, Jett turned 10 years old.
And the community showed up in a big way.
It started as a simple idea……
“What if we asked the world to wish Jett a Happy Birthday?”
That seed grew into something extraordinary.
People from all over recorded heartfelt video messages for Jett. They sang, they cheered, they told him jokes. Classrooms, first responders, families, and total strangers took a few minutes out of their day to make sure one little boy felt surrounded by love.
Jett’s face lit up with every single video. Even when he was tired, even when the pain was heavy, those messages made a difference. He laughed. He beamed. He knew he mattered.
And if that wasn’t enough, Jett also received nearly 90 LEGO sets. True to who he is, he kept a few and donated the rest to children in the hospital, giving back even while facing the unimaginable.
In that moment, it was clear:
Love can’t cure cancer—but it can carry a family through it.
