Lighting the Night for ALS: The Pumpkin Glow Fundraiser

There’s something magical about the way a single light can push back the darkness. On October 17th, that glow will come from hundreds of pumpkins—each carved with purpose, each shining for families fighting ALS.

This year, The Good Network is proud to support the ALS Pumpkin Glow, a community fundraiser dedicated to helping Justin Garcia and his family as they navigate life with ALS. It’s more than a seasonal event—it’s a night filled with hope, creativity, and connection.

Justin Garcia’s story has already touched hearts across the Treasure Valley. Earlier this year, The Good Network featured his family’s journey—sharing how the community came together to rally behind them in ways that only Idaho can.

Justin’s courage, and his family’s unwavering strength, inspired this event. Every pumpkin sold, every photo shared, and every flicker of light helps keep that spirit of unity alive.

3. Display it – Bring it to Shindig Farms for the October 17th Glow Ceremony, or show it off at work or home.
4. Share your photo – Post online with the hashtags #ALSPumpkinGlow and #PumpkinsForPurpose, and tag The Good Network to help amplify the message.
5. Vote and spread awareWhatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Why It Matters

ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is a cruel condition—it gradually takes away a person’s ability to walk, speak, eat, and breathe, while leaving the mind completely aware. Most families only have two to five years after diagnosis. But in that short time, love and community can make a world of difference.

By sponsoring or decorating a pumpkin, you’re not just helping the Garcia family—you’re lighting the night for every family touched by ALS. Each pumpkin becomes a small but powerful symbol of compassion and awareness.

Join the Movement

You can help make the night glow brighter:
1.Sponsor a pumpkin
2. Share your photos using #ALSPumpkinGlow and #PumpkinsForPurpose

Every share, every donation, and every story helps The Good Network continue to amplify the people and causes that make our community stronger.

Together, we’re not just carving pumpkins. We’re carving out hope.
