Miss Amazing: Celebrating Confidence, Compassion, and Courage

Every once in a while, you come across a program that truly lives up to its name. Miss Amazing is exactly that — amazing. Built on the belief that every girl and woman with disabilities deserves to be celebrated for who they are, the Miss Amazing program helps participants build confidence, form lifelong friendships, and share their stories on a stage that amplifies their strength. It’s more than a pageant, it’s a movement that reminds communities everywhere that ability is something to be embraced, not defined by limits.

Meet Lucy, A Bright Light from Right Here in Idaho

One of this year’s shining stars is 10-year-old Lucy, a Boise-area contestant whose courage and positivity have inspired everyone around her

This year has been incredibly hard for Lucy and her family — they recently lost her father after his battle with mental illness. Through it all, Lucy has continued to smile, to care, and to show up with a heart full of hope. Participating in Miss Amazing gave her and her family something joyful to focus on — a chance to celebrate everything bright and beautiful about who Lucy is.

Now, Lucy has been invited to represent Idaho at the Miss Amazing Nationals in Chicago, and we have a chance to help make that trip possible.

How You Can Help Lucy Get to Nationals

The Miss Amazing Gala in January will feature a live and silent auction where local businesses can donate gift cards, baskets, or experiences. 100% of the proceeds from the baskets Lucy provides will go directly toward her travel — covering flights, hotel, food, and chaperone expenses.

If you’re a local business owner or community member who wants to help, you can:

Lucy and her mom will also be visiting local businesses soon — sash, crown, and all — to spread awareness and share what Miss Amazing has meant to their family. It’s a beautiful reminder that our community is strongest when we lift each other up.

Be Part of Something Amazing

If you’d like to donate an item, sponsor a basket, or support Lucy’s journey to Nationals, you can connect directly through her Zeffy link Lift Lucy To Nationals or reach out to The Good Network, and we’ll help coordinate your contribution.

Boise has always shown up when it matters most — and this is one of those moments. Let’s help Lucy shine in Chicago and show the nation what it means to be part of a truly amazing community.
